Since we couldn't really make any progress today we were able to sleep in as late as we wanted! We were able to take showers again! yay! Then we started cleaning the boat a bit. Things get so unorganized so quickly in that little space! We were having some issues with our sink as well - it won't drain. :s So that didn't help the mess any. lol I cleaned my area (or compartment rather) and I headed up to do a load of laundry and Karla and Wade got the boat back into a livable space again!
By the time we were finished it was about 1:30 and we were starving! The marina we were staying at had a courtesy car that they let us use to run into town and get some materials. We needed weathering strips for sure, because with all this rain, our cabin doors leak and it gets the inside wet - and that's no fun. So we went to a couple stores to get all set to continue on our journey - and we stopped at DQ for lunch! Moolates!!Back at the marina, you'll never guess who we ran into! The Jelly Bean! Turns out they are headed to Kentucky Lake and were hung up by the lock being broke as well! We got talking and they met up with the same guy in the canoe that we had talked too - they didnt say how far behind he was but it was kinda neat how we met up with them again. lol
We went across the river and stayed the night by a dock at a public landing. It cost $27 a night at the other marina, so we thought we'd save a few bucks and sleep at the landing. It was right by rail road tracks - like Right by them, lol so when the train went by the horn was so loud you'd have to cover your ears! It was really windy, so we were rocking a ton, plus the barges came by about every hour and send huge waves our way to make us rock even more!... we were debating if this was worth the $27 bucks we saved! lol
We didn't eat supper since we had such a late lunch - Wade blogged all evening, Karla read, and I was able to finish the "Tin Man" which i fell asleep watching the other day! Once Wade was finished blogging we put the 2nd part of "Tin Man" on since I got all caught up to where Karla and Wade were. Unfortunately, I yet again fell asleep. I must take after my dad when it comes to late movies i guess - he see's the credits, and is out! So that makes me behind... again! So I need to watch the 2nd part before Karla and Wade can continue on the 3rd! lol but tomorrow we have all day to just do whatever, so I'll probably be able to watch it then! :)Before bed we all had 2 big spoonfuls of peanut butter, because it's said that if you have peanut butter before bed, you'll have crazy dreams! So... we'll see! lol
